This Surah has 45 verses divided into 5 Rukus/Sections. This Surah revealed in Mecca in the middle period of Prophet’s preaching at Mecca at a time when the opposition of Meccans have become much strong and persecution of early followers of Prophet already started. The name of this Surah is taken from verse 1 where there is a mention of the word “Fatir” Originator, which states the creating powers of God. This Surah is also called “Al Malaika” Angels also from Verse 1 where there is mention of Angels and their power/wings and abilities to perform different tasks on God’s command.
The emphasis of the Surah is on “Tawhid and admonishing the people of not believing in Prophet’s message by giving them food for thought to just look around themselves and think if all this is created by itself. And that it is God only who not only created all this alone but also preserving and maintaining all that.In a narration from the Holy Prophet PBUH, it is said that 3 doors of Paradise will be opened for the one who recites this Surah (And Fully Acts Upon it). That person will be able to access through whichever passage he pleases. In a second narration, it is said that the eight doors of Paradise will open to him and he will be permitted to enter through whichever he pleases.
